A full day is eight hours at $950 + GST, and a half day is four hours at $650 + GST. Start times can be arranged to suit your shoot. Weekend bookings attract a 20% surcharge. Please allow for setup and pack-down within your booked hours.

Bump-in or equipment drop-off the day before your shoot can be arranged for $150, provided there is no other shoot booked that day. Please arrange access with us in advance. Equipment left overnight, including during a Hollywood wrap, remains at the hirer’s own risk.

Overtime is charged at $150 + GST per hour, with a 20-minute grace period at the end of your booking. Please let us know as soon as possible if you expect to run over so we can confirm availability.

Studio hire includes flats, poly boards, sandbags, a Cambo camera stand, clothing racks, a garment steamer and trestle tables. A motorised lighting truss is also available. Paper roll hire is an additional cost. We don’t offer separate lighting or camera equipment hire, so please bring the equipment you need for your shoot.

Aere offers 324 sqm of studio space with 4.4 m ceilings. Our cyclorama has a corner return and measures 8.4 m wide × 5.5 m deep × 3.9 m high.

A fresh cyclorama repaint is optional and costs $150 + GST. We’ll check whether you’d like it freshly painted before your shoot, so you can avoid the repaint fee if a fresh coat isn’t needed.

Yes. The studio has blackout shutters, allowing the space to be fully blacked out for controlled lighting.

The studio is not soundproof, but sound can be recorded with the right setup. We recommend that your sound engineer visits before the shoot to assess the space and determine whether it suits your recording requirements.

There are two internal car spaces, two-hour street parking out front and an all-day public car park nearby at 8–14 King Street, Prahran. Ground-floor drive-in access is available through a roller door measuring 4.8 m wide × 3.3 m high, making loading equipment, props and vehicles straightforward.

Studio hire includes a mezzanine client lounge and workspace with monitor feed, two hair and makeup stations, clothing racks, a steamer, a fully equipped kitchen, three toilets and a shower. High-speed Wi-Fi, heating and cooling are also included.

We provide a unique temporary door PIN for the duration of your hire. This allows you to manage access for your crew and receive deliveries throughout your booking. Access instructions and Wi-Fi details are provided for your hire.

Yes. You’re welcome to bring catering and use the kitchen for food shoots. The kitchen includes two ovens, an induction cooktop, dishwasher, fridge, bar fridge, coffee machine, microwave and air fryer.

Yes. Set builds and large props are welcome. All sets, props and materials must be removed at the end of your hire, so please allow enough time for pack-down within your booking.

Yes. Studio inspections are welcome by appointment. Contact us to arrange a time to view the space and discuss your shoot.

Yes. Aere is home to Sneaky Studio, our in-house creative production team. We can help with creative direction, photography, film, production and post-production. Let us know what you have in mind when you enquire.

Yes. We welcome enquiries for launches, exhibitions, workshops, castings and brand events. Contact us with your event details, preferred date and expected guest numbers to discuss suitability and pricing.

Please give us at least 48 hours’ notice if you need to cancel or reschedule your booking. Contact us as soon as your plans change so we can discuss the arrangements.

The ground-floor studio has step-free access. The mezzanine client area is accessed by stairs. Please contact us before booking if your crew or guests have specific access requirements.

Yes. Hirers must hold their own public liability insurance and are responsible for their crew and equipment. Aere does not accept responsibility for hirers’ equipment, including gear left overnight during a Hollywood wrap. Please ensure your own insurance covers your equipment and any overnight storage.

The motorised lighting truss is available on request. Setup and any applicable fee depend on the configuration required, such as single or double cross-sections. Please include it in your enquiry so we can confirm the setup and cost.
